The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2008; it will commence simultaneously at 9:00 a.m. in three (3) different venues – at the De La Salle University, Taft Ave., Manila , Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai – International School, Angliongto Ave., Lanang, Davao City and at the University of San Carlos, P. Del Rosario St., Cebu City. The JLPT is administered once a year – worldwide, by the Japan Foundation in cooperation with other cultural exchange/educational institutions, in order to evaluate and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers.

Criteria

The test comprises four levels (1 to 4) based on proficiency and covers writing-vocabulary, listening and reading-grammar.  Examinees should be careful in choosing the level which best corresponds to their Japanese-language proficiency/ability and classroom training.

Level 1 – The examinee has mastered grammar to a high level, knows about 2,000 Kanji and 10,000 words, and has an integrated command of the language sufficient for life in Japanese society and providing a useful base for study at a Japanese university.  This level is normally reached after studying Japanese  for about 900 hours.

Level  2 – The examinee has mastered grammar to a relatively high level, knows about 1,000 Kanji and 6,000 words, and has the ability to converse, read and write about matters of a general nature.  This level is normally reached after studying Japanese for about 600 hours and after completion of an intermediate course.

Level 3 – The examinee has mastered grammar to a limited level, knows about 300 Kanji and 1,500 words, has the ability to take part in everyday conversation and to read and write simple sentences.  This level is normally reached after studying Japanese for around 300 hours and after completion of an elementary course.

Level 4 – The examinee has mastered the basic elements of grammar, knows about 100 Kanji and 800 words  and has the ability to engage in simple conversation and to read and write short, simple sentences.  This level is normally reached after studying Japanese for about 150 hours and finishing the first half of the elementary course.

sobrang nag-enjoy kami sa pagpunta ninyo (at ng iba pang larc fans sa event)... too bad, ndi ako masyadong naki-mingle sa inyo kasi ganon talaga ako pag me event - hahahaha kung saan-saan napapadpad... pero thanks talaga sa support ng Japinoy sa LPFC at sa mga mahilig sa L'Arc...

regarding sa mga video perfs ng mga banda, hinihingi ko na bawat isa... hehehe, hopefully ma-compile namin kagad at maisayos para mapadala by JULY sa Japan together with the petition. sana marami pang mag-submit ng kanilang mga messages sa toycon at sa susunod pang mga araw.

Bananafish - Driver's High ang kinover nila - astig ding ang pag-cover nila (i think makakatugtog uli sila sa toycon), baguhan sila pero i think mas lalo silang mag-i-improve kung mas mapapadalas ang exposure nila sa mga events.

Blazters - White Feathers - honestly, kala ko magiging disaster ito, pero nung makita ko kung sino ang mga naging sessionista ni Hackt (vox), walang iba lang naman kung ndi sina Kr (lead guitar) at Takumi (bassist) ng Himitsu Heiki, i dont have any doubt na magiging sablay ang tugtugan... for that, masasabi kong binigay ni Hackt ang best niya sa gig na ito. ^_~ astig, feeling ko nakikinig ako sa panahon ni sakura... ganda...

AsianChickenFest - Flower - dapat medyo last perf sila pero dahil early sila at sila lang ang kumpleto na... haaha, naisalang kagad sila pero dahil malulupit lahat ang kasama ni Kirby (vox), na sina Lino (Ducklings) at Eric (PPF All-Stars), expected ko na maganda ang Flower cover. ^_^x

INSANARA - Trick - hindi sila band from the j-community pero astig ang kanilang mga compositions. and ung trick iyong pinaka-first j-rock cover nila.. kudos! ^_~

Molded Sushi - Stay Away - ganda ng stay away cover nila, umpisa silang tumugtog sa amin (juujiro) nung J-CRUNCH:Ripiito and dun pa lang, nakita ko na ang potential nila e... kaya i have no doubt na magiging matagumpay pa silang lalo.

IKUSO IWA - Link - there's a lot of improvement for this band... ok ang pag-cover nila ng Link, kasi napa-indak kami dito sa me registration booth. ^_~

HARAKIRIJIRO - Heaven's Drive - Ito sigurong band na ito ang ndi ko inaasahan na magaling at malupet! ^_~ lahat kasi ng members ay asa  15 y/o lang and japinoys ^_~ their manager informed me kasi na wag akong masyadong mag-expect sa kanila - pero grabe, napabilib talaga ako - btw, regular band sila FREEDOM BAR every thursday, so pwede ninyo silang i-check dun.

7Thvrsday - Nij, Jiyuu e no Shoutai, Sigarilyo (compo), Hoshizora, My Heart Draws A Dream - eto? hahaha, bias na ako pag nagsalita pa para sa kanila... being their friend and manager as well, hmm, basta un na iyon... in fairness, nakita ko na masaya sila nung saturday. and i'm happy at unti-unti nang bumabalik ang dating 7Thvrsday (dating 7Thursday, naging XeVen:Thvrsday... daming names no?!)

Rtschrk - Daybreak's Bell - Astig na banda na nag-c-cover ng Dir en Grey (Diru or DEG).... first time nilang tinutugtog last L'Arcon 2006 ay AS ONE, grabe, ang galing ni LUCI (vox) and bagay sa kanila ang kanta - so heavy! and ung Daybreak's BELL? waaaah! panis! sobrang galing...

Do'Ahou - Fate, Spirit Dreams Inside - First time tumugtog sa amin ang Do'Ahou na L'Arc ang tema... hahaha, nag-aalangan kasi si neil (vox) siguro kasi ndi bagay sa kanya ang boses ni hyde - pero astig ang Fate cover and Spirit Dreams Inside nila - hahaha, parang ibang NEIL ang nakita ko dito, ibang Do'Ahou - kaya nga, for me the best itong gabing ito e... lumabas ung talagang di mo inaasahan....

Himitsu Heiki - Kasou - As u all know, si Ms. Jhona ang vox ng Himitsu Heiki, and i'm very much happy kasi ang ganda ng pag-cover nila ng KASOU, kasi hindi ko ine-expect na makukuha niya ang boses ni hyde - as in, in terms of music, panalo, hahaha, si KR parang si KEN talaga... astig...

Harap.sa.Likod - Promised Land, I'm so Happy, Vivid Colors - Isang banda na matagal ko nang gustong tumugtog sa Juujiro/LPFC at ngayon lang natupad... friend pala niya iyong friend ko - waah! now ko lang nalaman.... hehehe, ayun, as expected, magaling silang mag-perf and gaya natin, L'Arc fan din si Triccie (vox), hehehe, isa siya sa nakakakita sa L'Arc sa AIRPORT... waaaah! kaya i'm sure, ang mga pag-cover niya sa L'Arc ay pagkanta from the heart talaga. dun sa i'm so happy (hahaha, kala ko si sakura and hyde iyong nagd-duet e... si russell (guitarist) at si triccie (vox) pala... hehehe.... and xempre sa VIVID COLORS - eto ung pinakamasaya kong perf nila - i saw sakura dun sa drummer nila... and take note, nalaglag ung drumstick niya (dun pa naman sa part na complikado) pero ayun, astig talaga...

overall, nag-enjoy talaga ako sa event - dati kasi ndi ko napapanood ang mga perfs e, kasi busy with other things pero this time, i managed to see the whole event as it happens - kaya masaya ako. plus the fact na, nakita ko talaga na maraming nag-enjoy sa event... salamat talaga.. sa suporta.
